5-May-2024 – First sail of the season with very light winds on Lake Michigan.

First sail of the season with very light winds on Lake Michigan.
Max wind speed was about 6 knots, but not for long and waves were less than 1 ft. Wind died after about an 1.5 hrs out.

We flew the drone and found a new “feature” that limited it’s range and prevented it from flying any further. We had to to turn the boat around to go back and retrieve it.

23-September-2023 – Beautiful day for sailing on Lake Michigan. Winds 8-12 knots & waves to 2-3 feet.

Great day for sailing on Lake Michigan. Winds 8-12 knots & waves to 2-3 feet. Flew the replacement drone for the first time with its hot pink floats. Hopefully, if it ends up in the lake like the last one, it will float and be recoverable.
